1 Timothy 2:2 TPT - And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts.
Regardless of your political beliefs, it's essential that we remember our responsibility to pray for all leaders. Our country's current state may be the result of complaining rather than praying for each other and those in authority.
Some of us may not believe in or understand the power of prayer. This is fine as long as we don't remain ignorant. Let's trust the scriptures on this matter and ask God for his grace to see the power of prayer at work in us.
The scripture tells us that if we pray for our leaders, we can live tranquil and peaceful lives. If you're living with a mindset that's only focused on inevitable end times persecution, you might need to reconsider God's will for your life. Yes, there will be end times persecution. But waiting generation after generation without taking responsibility to bring heaven to earth is unproductive.
Instead of constantly anticipating the rapture, we should dedicate ourselves to prayer. We all need to connect with God, become more like Him, and impact the world through our transformation.
God's will is not for us to constantly live in fear, but for His Kingdom to reach people's hearts. If we let the Kingdom invade our hearts in mass, we're more likely to live in peace. We'll still face challenges, but with the right momentum, the gospel can be shared in an atmosphere of peace.
Remember, when a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies be at peace with him.
While there will be persecution, the degree of it can vary. Compare verbal attacks to physical harm - both are forms of persecution, but one is more severe than the other. If we're persecuted, we should rejoice that we're suffering for our faith. However, we shouldn't court suffering through irresponsibility.
So, pray for our leaders and ask God to guide them. The King's heart is in the hands of the Lord and He directs it as He pleases. The impact of the gospel will largely depend on how we commit ourselves to prayer and ask God to touch those who need it most.
Yes, if you are persecuted you are blessed, but still ask God to keep you from evil and to protect you from the evil one.

I completely agree. Prayer is the least and the most we can do. Emitting positive energy through prayer emits goodness into the ether, it's good for those we pray for, emits positive flow into the universe and tells us we've contributed goodness to the world around us. Prayer is talking to God and He always answers when we least expect it.
