That’s what the Scripture means when it says:
“I have made you the father of many nations.”
He is our example and father, for in God’s presence he believed that God can raise the dead and call into being things that don’t even exist yet.
Simmons, Brian, trans. 2017. The Passion Translation. BroadStreet Publishing.
Can you hear the declaration of the Father saying ‘I have MADE you…” not your own self efforts or attempts to make my promise come true yielding Ishmaels along the way. I have done my needed work in you and your job is to declare its completion, power and efficacy.
Isn’t this the essence of communion?
We declare the Lord’s death and his victory until He comes. Do that remembering him.
“Don’t forget’ He admonishes us through the Holy Spirit. “Remember my victory and live from it.”
None of us want dead works. We just don’t always realize how dead works are caused. They are worked whenever we partner with anxiety, fear and frustration. If consistently applied, these are works of death that yields thorns and thistles. There is grace to overcome here, it’s called prayer. You can vent to God. He’s good at listening and will transform your vent into great faith.
None of us want dead works. We just don’t always realize how dead works are caused.
However, we need to understand that faith means “…calling those things that be not as though they are”. We have to keep calling on Favor to manifest that is already ours. We have to keep calling on health that is already ours. We have to keep seeing the promises fulfilled in our hearts.
He has made us into great fathers, winners, successful people, healthy people, great moms, healthy churches, etc. Name it! He has made us into that image we can call forth from the invisible due to his blood.
We are the incubators of these promises as we accept them through the active faith of trusting, relying, surrendering, and actively placing these things in God’s hands.
Faith isn’t passive. It’s aggressive about letting go and letting God. It’s aggressive about surrender and placing all their faith “eggs” in the Kingdom “basket”. Remove the plan B’s. It just takes away from plan A.
